In this class, students will learn their way around the machine through various projects and gain the foundational sewing skills to translate into future projects for themselves. Students will learn how to read patterns, and how to choose fabrics and patterns right for the projects they are making. They will make simple and functional projects like pyjama pants, and gift pouches ( to hold all the things)! The skills of sewing can seem daunting, but with the right instruction, it can be fun and sew much easier than you think!
This course is three 3-hour sessions. The next sessions is:
Tuesday, October 22, 29 & November 5 – 6 pm to 9 pm
or
Tuesday December 3, 10 & 17 – 6 pm to 9 pm
* This class is for teens age 12 to 17 years old. Adult classes are 18 years +
* No prior sewing skills are needed for this class.
