After years of reflection on how to present herself through her art, May B drew inspiration from her relationship with food. Having spent much of her life in kitchens, she began to wonder:
How would a chef introduce themselves?
‘A Tasting Menu’ is presented as a 12-course menu, where each painting is a snapshot—a carefully curated plate that blends emotions, memories, and circumstances into a singular experience. Every “course” explores her favourite flavours and how they have shaped her. These paintings act as a visual pairing, crafted to evoke a sensory experience that is deeply personal, yet universal.
