Calgary, AB – February 5, 2025 – cSPACE Marda Loop is thrilled to invite the community to its highly anticipated annual February Showcase Event, happening on February 13, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This year’s theme, Nuit des Artistes, offers a captivating French flair, celebrating the vibrant local art scene in the heart of Calgary.

This free-to-attend event promises a night full of creativity, inspiration, and entertainment for all ages. Visitors will enjoy the sounds of Tina Hartt & Les Gardiens du Rhythm, a talented French jazz ensemble, setting the perfect ambiance for an evening of artistic discovery.

Experience a diverse lineup of immersive activities and local art showcased by talented artists at every turn:

  • Alberta Craft Council presents Innovative Threads: Contemporary Weaving Make & Take – Explore the art of weaving with hands-on crafting.
  • Feast Studio offers a Printing Press experience, inviting guests to try their hand at traditional printing techniques.
  • Anneke Forbes shares insights into Colour Analysis for those seeking to discover their perfect hues.
  • Lucky Small Things will demo their latest products, showcasing unique handcrafted items.
  • Tarot card readings by Kate offer a glimpse into the future.
  • Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society will host book readings and interactive crafts for literary lovers.
  • Plus, the Alberta Magazine Publishers’ Association will be giving away free magazines for a touch of reading inspiration.

The Exposure Photography Festival will also be hosting artist receptions on every level of cSPACE, offering a deeper look into the world of photography.

Guests can enjoy the French 75 at our cash bar. This signature cocktail for the evening is named after the iconic French field gun used in WWI. A delightful mix of gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar, and Champagne – the perfect toast to a night of art and culture.
