Galvin Family Fund Bestows $50,000 Boost for cSPACE Projects, Continuing a Legacy of Support

—– FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE —–

Calgary, Alberta – December 5, 2023

Calgary, Alberta – Continuing their family legacy of support, the Galvin Family Fund has generously made a donation of $50,000 to cSPACE Projects, in support of the Marda Loop Creative Hub. This gracious act of philanthropy aligns with the legacy of the late oilman and philanthropist, Ed Galvin, who would undoubtedly be proud of the impactful work his family’s Fund continues to undertake.

The Galvin Family Fund, established 20 years ago in memory of Ed Galvin’s late wife, Frances, operates under the umbrella of the Calgary Foundation. Committed to supporting initiatives across diverse sectors, from youth and education to environmental causes and community organizations, the Fund has been a committed champion of many charitable endeavours.

“Our family is pleased to see what cSPACE Projects has done to transform the historic King Edward School into a hub for artists and community organizations. It has become an active, thriving centre of creativity unique to our City and hopefully will continue to expand our cultural footprint for years to come.”

– Nancy Peters

cSPACE Projects is deeply grateful for the Galvin Family Fund’s donation, and invites new potential donors to add fuel to the future, and make a contribution to cSPACE’s Fueling Creativity fall campaign. The campaign, culminating on December 31st, seeks to secure $100,000 in total donations before the year’s end.

Anyone interested in making a donation to cSPACE Projects before December 31st can do so through the Calgary Foundation’s website portal here:
