Join us for Haunted Halls: a Scare-tacular Halloween Showcase at cSPACE Marda Loop!

Our community arts hub tenants join forces to provide a fun, free, family friendly neighbourhood Halloween experience for all ages. With activities from Quest Theatre, Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society, Alberta Magazine Publishers’ Association, Atelier Artista, Casa Mexico, Alliance Francaise, Alberta Craft Council, Studio C (Prospect Human Services), Feast Studio, Snapshot Studios, and more.

On October 24th, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM, cSPACE Marda Loop is transforming into a multi-level Halloween extravaganza, and you’re invited! This family-friendly event is packed with skeerie fun, creative activities, and eerie surprises for all ages. Best of all, admission is FREE!

Along with Trick or Treating throughout the building, here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store:

Level 2: Crafty Cocktails & Hands-On Fun with the Alberta Craft Gallery (5-8pm)
Kick off your evening with some deliciously dark drinks at our Skeerie Feature Cocktail Bar, where you can sip on ghoulishly good concoctions! Feeling crafty? Head over to the make-and-take station to create your Halloween-inspired crafts with Susanah Windrum and Copper Lizard Studio.  Make a little magic with a custom potion created by Jennifer Hartley. 🧪🎨

Level 3: Adventure Trek with Quest Theatre for Kids (5-7pm) and Dia de los Muertos with Casa Mexico (5pm-8pm)
For the younger crowd (ages 2-7), we’ve got an adventure-filled trek packed with activities! Little adventurers will collect tokens along their journey and exchange them for goody bags from the amazing folks at Quest Theatre. It’s the perfect way to let the kids immerse themselves in Halloween magic! 🎒👾 Also try your hand at mask-making with Casa Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos workshop!

Level 4: Book Sale, Art, and More! (5-8pm)
For the grown-ups, the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society is hosting a spine-tingling book sale with stories that are sure to give you chills! Feeling artistic? Explore the open art studio at Atelier Artista and unleash your creativity. Meanwhile, kids can keep the Halloween spirit alive with face painting and temporary tattoos! 📚🎨

Costumes Encouraged!
Don’t forget to come dressed in your Halloween best—whether you’re a witch, superhero, or skeerie creature, costumes will add to the festive spirit of the evening!
