Subsequent studies in mathematics and computers at Simon Fraser University led to a career in information management. \nHe returned to photography as an art form in 2016. By 2023\, he concluded that the world did not need another photographer. The label had always felt like a shirt occasionally worn but never entirely comfortable. Instead\, he began calling himself a wanderer—a description that felt far more fitting. To Drysdale\, this is a liberating and playful identity\, one that frees them from unhelpful personal expectations and existential questions such as what defines a “real” photographer.

Filmed above and below the surface\, subtle ripples\, reflections\, and light guide each brushstroke. The works capture fleeting moments of water\, inviting reflection on nature’s rhythms and patterns. \nThe exhibition will be on view from September 9 to October 6. It’s a celebration of women who are part of a growing movement to challenge the false narrative that beauty fades with age. \nThe Fabulous Over 40 Art Exhibit shines a spotlight on the portraits and stories of women aged 40 and up. \nInstead of being shamed into the shadows\, each of these women chose to step into the light. \nThey said yes to a transformative boudoir portrait experience. They said yes to being seen. Boldly\, vulnerably\, and without apology. \nThe goal? To rewrite the story: Women over 40 are beautiful. The ticking clock is a myth. And the years ahead are something to look forward to. \nAs an artist and photographer\, my mission is to challenge outdated beauty standards and offer a new perspective. One that I see for myself every day as a boudoir photographer for women over 40. We’ve been sold a lie. There is no expiration date on beauty. It’s about feeling beautiful and having someone capture that so you can see it too. \nToday\, I’m an accredited\, multi award-winning portrait photographer\, and my mission is to show women\, especially those over 40\, that every body is beautiful and worthy of being photographed\, even without clothes on. \nI invite you to see yourself\, and women like you\, in a whole new light.
