August 24th brings The Heebee Jeebees to the Studio Theatre.  \nThe Heebee-jeebees are a 4-man Canadian comic a cappella quartet formed in 1993 to meet girls\, who have over the past 30 years sung thousands of performances\, appeared on local\, national and international radio\, television and print. DESCRIPTION:Level 1\ncSPACE Marda Loop\nStudio Theatre\nAptly named our Rebound concert\, we have put together our personal a cappella favourites from over the years + a few NEW arrangements. We cannot wait to share the afternoon with you! \n  \nAbout Altra Volta \nAltra Volta is a 7-voice a cappella vocal ensemble founded in 1998. Comprised of talented singers in the Calgary music community\, the group’s diverse repertoire includes classical choral\, vocal jazz and pop music. In recent years the group has gone from performing published choral works to also creating arrangements of their own\, exploring the many facets of the human voice to emulate various musical instruments. \nAltra Volta has won a number of awards\, including first place finishes at the Kiwanis Music Festivals in Calgary and Camrose\, and the Norman Kennedy Award for Outstanding Vocal Ensemble in 2001 and 2002. In addition to their own concerts\, Altra Volta has performed for weddings and other special events around the city\, including the True Patriot Love Tribute Gala and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Night of Honor. \nThe group has released three studio albums: Primo (2005)\, Either Way (2008)\, and a Christmas album\, Snowfall (2011).
