In this class\, students will learn their way around the machine through various projects and gain the foundational sewing skills to translate into future projects for themselves. Students will learn how to read patterns\, and how to choose fabrics and patterns right for the projects they are making. They will make simple and functional projects like pyjama pants\, and zippered pouches ( to hold all the things)! The skills of sewing can seem daunting\, but with the right instruction\, it can be fun and sew much easier than you think! \nThis course is three 3-hour sessions. Through painting and working with them\, we have accumulated a collection of excellent works. We are now hosting an exhibition at cSPACE to showcase these pieces. I hope to introduce their passionate world of art to many people and inspire and motivate these young artists by sharing and appreciating their work.
