Enter the darkness . . . see the light. \nThe Cave of Dreams is calling all travellers to where time and space foregather. Will you be one such seeker? Will you? \nThe Festival of Animated Objects\, Canadian Academy of Mask and Puppetry\, and Canmore Cave Tours presents a new\, immersive opera experience\, featuring original choral music by Cassandra J. Dueck. \n  \nTICKETS: https://www.showpass.com/cave-of-dreams/\n  \nCave of Dreams is the invention of a group of artists bound by the night sky and a love affair between the moon and a limestone burrow. After working together on the Iniskim project\, a vision emerged of an experience deep beneath the earth\, with sound and light\, voice and symbol. With guidance from choral master Jean-Louis Bleau\, Cassandra J. Dueck has devised several original compositions to complete the score. Puppetry design and direction is being led by David Lane and Randi Edmundson; Kit Benz rounds out the puppetry performance team. The Ensemble choir is Jessica Sick\, Maddie Aldridge\, James Mills\, and Chris Dueck\, with choral direction by Cassandra J. Dueck. Subsequent studies in mathematics and computers at Simon Fraser University led to a career in information management. \nHe returned to photography as an art form in 2016. By 2023\, he concluded that the world did not need another photographer. The label had always felt like a shirt occasionally worn but never entirely comfortable. Instead\, he began calling himself a wanderer—a description that felt far more fitting. To Drysdale\, this is a liberating and playful identity\, one that frees them from unhelpful personal expectations and existential questions such as what defines a “real” photographer.

DESCRIPTION:Finding Peace & Joy Within\nThis weekly meditation group for CALL members has returned by popular request. Each session includes periods of meditation (sitting comfortably in chairs) to allow participants the opportunity to experience the benefits for themselves\, and the opportunity to share experiences and insights with others. About half of the session will be talk/discussion and about half will be meditation. \nIf you are not a CALL member\, you can join for the annual fee of $50 and attend this and many other interest groups.

Through honest dialogue\, they explore moments of fear\, loss\, and the unexplainable – sharing stories that reveal what it’s like to confront the unknown when life feels most fragile. \nWe’re currently collecting personal stories through our social media channels\, and selected encounters will be shared on stage during the event. If you’ve experienced something you can’t explain (and you’re open to telling your story) we’re accepting submissions and screening participants until October 1st. \nWe’re also inviting you to submit your questions about the paranormal in advance. The final portion of the evening will feature a curated Q&A\, where we’ll respond to a selection of these questions with care and consideration. \nThis is just the beginning.
