SUMMARY:Teen Sew Summer Camp with Riyoko Work/Shop
DESCRIPTION:Come learn how to sew and start making your own projects!\nStudents will learn their way around the machine through various projects and gain the foundational sewing skills to translate into future projects for themselves. Students will learn how to read patterns\, how to use choose fabrics and patterns right for the projects they are making\, how to embellish and decorate their projects with hand sewing techniques\, and time permitting\, repair skills\, such as hems\, and repairing rips and holes in creative ways. They will make simple and functional projects like a drawstring backpack ( to hold all the things) and pajama pants. The skills of sewing can seem daunting\, but with the right instruction\, it can be fun and sew much easier than you think! \nThis camp runs Monday to Thursday. It is four 5-hour sessions. It sought to create an open platform where all artists could present their work without restriction. In the same spirit\, our Indépendants exhibition today embraces that tradition.
