Narratives which change and evolve as the visual story on the canvas reveals itself. Layers painted over layers\, attacks and retreats\, questions sometimes without answers. Books\, music\, theatre\, history and life all providing inspiration\, allowing a work to be what it tells me it wants to be. The work must be free to be what it is within its own universe. On its own terms. They are not mirrors but exist for their own sake\, in their time. They are not pamphlets. All of their soul\, chaos and seduction\, the intent is to look inside at its defining moment. The Story that is written. The viewer\, now\, perceives and reads from their own life. DESCRIPTION:On April 20\, 2023 Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) celebrated 30 years of helping wildlife. Over 36\,000 injured and orphaned wild animals have been cared for by AIWC during this time. \nTo celebrate this amazing milestone\, we will be hosting our 30 Years of Helping Wildlife event on Saturday\, September 16\, 2023 at cSPACE Marda Loop in Calgary from 10am to 2pm. This is a free admission event for you to enjoy and learn more about AIWC. No registration required!
